The Energy sector security research of Georgia is funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, within the framework of the grant competition for fundamental research.
The goal of the project is to study and analyze the existing institutional, infrastructural, legislative, human resource, and technological environment in the context of energy security in Georgia, and to develop an energy security strategy for the country based on the results.
The project is conducted by Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Elizbar Eristavi Energy Training Center.
The duration of the project is 3 years.
Within the framework of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia grant, participation was taken in the international scientific conference "Georgian Economic Security: Current Status and Challenges" dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Academician Paata Gugushvili, October 11-12, 2025.
