The goal of the project is to study and analyze the existing institutional, infrastructural, legislative, human resource, and technological environment in the context of energy security in Georgia, and to develop an energy security strategy for the country based on the results.

This project aims to establish a methodical basis for discussing energy security issues, facilitating a systematic review of the main energy opportunities and threats facing the country, and leading to the development of appropriate mitigation strategies.

The project is funded by the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation of Georgia, within the framework of the grant competition for fundamental research.

The project will last for 3 years.
